Ningbo Wanhua Polyurethanes Start-up

Ongoing innovation characterizes the latest NORAM mononitrobenzene (MNB) plant to come on line. The NORAM technology package included the design, proprietary equipment, and commissioning services for the Ningbo Wanhua Polyurethanes MNB facility located in Daxie, Zheijiang, China. The plant is capable of producing over 250,000 MTPY of MNB, used to make aniline in the Ningbo Wanhua MDI complex.

The plant marks the first implementation of NORAM’s new MNB product purification technology, which, along with other key process improvements, has the ability to significantly reduce effluent treatment costs at certain sites.

Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes (the parent company of Ningbo Wanhua) is China’s foremost MDI producer. NORAM is providing the same technology and package for two further MNB plants at the new Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes complex, Yantai, Shandong, China.
