Nanocrystalline Cellulose (NCC) in the News

The recently announced CelluForce demonstration plant – a joint venture between Domtar Corporation and FPInnovations – has garnered considerable interest from the industry for its first-of-its-kind technology for producing NCC on an industrial scale.

A recent article in Pulp & Paper Canada highlights the role played by NORAM in transitioning NCC from the lab to industrial-scale production. The facility , designed and engineered by NORAM, and incorporating some of NORAM’s own proprietary equipment, is underpinning a wide-spread research effort in Canada to develop new applications for this intriguing forest product.
