NORAM President Inducted into the Canadian Academy of Engineering

George A.E. Cook, founding President and CEO of NORAM, was inducted into the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) at a ceremony that took place in conjunction with the Academy's 2011 AGM in Vancouver. The CAE is the national institution through which Canada's most distinguished and experienced engineers provide strategic advice on matters of critical importance to Canada.

Citing a professional career as an exceptional innovator, entrepreneur and mentor, the CAE highlighted George's role in a number of breakthrough technologies that transformed the process landscape in Canada, both during his leadership as Vice-President of Chemetics, as well as a 23-year career at the helm of a company that has become synonymous with the development of novel process technologies.

While NORAM has grown into global prominence as a technology and equipment supplier, George Cook, and NORAM co-founder and partner, Dr Alfred Guenkel, also a Fellow of the CAE, underline the company's strong commitment to ensuring that Canada's engineering expertise is applied to the benefit of all Canadians.
